Innovation is a newly invented worship which was not revealed in the Shari’ah (the Qur’an and Sunnah) - so it is referred to as bid’ah. And
every innovation is going astray, and every astray going to the hellfire.
It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said:
"In his Khutbah the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to praise Allah as He deserves to be praised, then he would say:
...The truest of word is the Book of Allah and best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad.
The worst of things are those that are newly invented; every newly-invented thing is an innovation and every innovation is going astray, and every going astray is in the Fire.'...
[Sunan an-Nasa'i 1578]
There is nothing like reintroduce Islam, Islam is one with the beginning and the end.
We're in this world to obey the commandments of ALLAH.
We aren't authorized to Innovate things & put those into our Religion.
It is necessity to know that more than 1446 years ago the Islam is already completed, as Allah, the Exalted, says:
...This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.... (Quran 5 : 3)
This verse embodies a clear statement that the religion has been completed and so has no need of addition and deletion.
Deen mein izafa sirf wahi log karte hain jo Quran aur hadees ko samaj nahi paye.
Narrated Aisha:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If somebody innovates something which is not in harmony with the principles of our religion, that thing is rejected."
[Sahih al-Bukhari 2697]
Iblees ko gunah se zyada bid'at pasand hai kyunki gunah se tauba ki ja sakti hai bid'at se nahi, bid'ati [biddat karne wala] usse neki samajhta hai.
Biddat karne wala ye sochta hai ke main sahi hoon laikin in logon ko andaza bhi nahi hota ke wo jis kaam ko sahi samaj kar sawab ki niyat se jo kar rahe hain wo sarasar ek gumrahi hai. Allah in cheezon ko pasand nahi karta aur abhi bhi waqt hai hum in buraiyun se bach sakte hain.
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Shall we inform you of who will lose the most deeds?
˹They are˺ those whose efforts are in vain in this worldly life, while they think they are doing good!”
[Quran 18 : 103 - 104]
On the authority of the mother of the faithful, Aisha (ra), who said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “He who innovates something in this matter of ours (i.e., Islam) that is not of it will have it rejected (by Allah).” [Bukhari & Muslim] In another version in Muslim it reads: “He who does an act which we have not commanded, will have it rejected (by Allah).”
[Hadith 5, 40 Hadith an-Nawawi]
Narrated Salama:
I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "Whoever (intentionally) ascribes to me what I have not said then (surely) let him occupy his seat in Hell-fire."
[Sahih al-Bukhari 109]
Narrated `Abdullah:
The best talk (speech) is Allah's Book 'Qur'an), and the best way is the way of Muhammad, and the worst matters are the heresies (those new things which are introduced into the religion); and whatever you have been promised will surely come to pass, and you cannot escape (it).
[Sahih al-Bukhari 7277]
It was narrated that Hudhaifah said:
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Allah will not accept any fasting, prayer, charity, Hajj, 'Umrah, Jihad, or any other obligatory or voluntary action from a person who follows innovation (Bid'ah). He comes out of Islam like a hair pulled out of dough."
Grade: Maudu' (Darussalam)
[Sunan Ibn Majah 49]
O Allah help me be correct my mistakes before I pass away and help me do good deeds before I die. And grant me your grace and blessing of being pleased with me when you take my soul.
Al-Hasan bin 'Ali said:
"I remember that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'Leave what makes you in doubt for what does not make you in doubt. The truth brings tranquility while falsehood sows doubt.'"
Another chain reports a similar narration.
[Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2518]
Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir:
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, 'Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.
[Sahih al-Bukhari 52]
The superiority of that person who leaves all doubtful (unclear) things for the sake of his religion.
Narrated `Abdullah:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount (Kauthar) and some men amongst you will be brought to me, and when I will try to hand them some water, they will be pulled away from me by force whereupon I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' Then the Almighty will say, 'You do not know what they did after you left, they introduced new things into the religion after you.'"
[Sahih al-Bukhari 7049]
