The world is a prison for the believer.

A non-Muslim neither prays nor fasts; he lives by his own will. But a Muslim lives for the will of Allah.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The world is a prison-house for a believer and Paradise for a non-believer. [Sahih Muslim 2956]

Salah | Prayer

Second pillar of Islam : Prayer

Salah is made obligatory upon all the Muslims five times a day in the proper way with strict timing in the mosque.

Narrated Abdullah bin Buraidah narrated from his father: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The covenant between us and them is the Salat, so whoever abandons it he has committed disbelief." [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2621]

Narrated Jabir: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Between disbelief and faith is abandoning the Salat." [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2618]

...Indeed, performing prayers is a duty on the believers at the appointed times. (Quran 4:103)

Only those who believe in God, the Day of Judgment, perform their prayers... [Quran 9 : 18]

Narrated AbuHurayrah: Anas ibn Hakim ad-Dabbi said that he feared Ziyad or Ibn Ziyad; so he came to Medina and met AbuHurayrah. He attributed his lineage to me and I became a member of his lineage. AbuHurayrah said (to me): O youth, should I not narrate a tradition to you? I said: Why not, may Allah have mercy on you? (Yunus (a narrator) said: I think he narrated it (the tradition) from the Prophet (ﷺ):) The first thing about which the people will be called to account out of their actions on the Day of Judgment is prayer. Our Lord, the Exalted, will say to the angels - though He knows better: Look into the prayer of My servant and see whether he has offered it perfectly or imperfectly. If it is perfect, that will be recorded perfect. If it is defective, He will say: See there are some optional prayers offered by My servant. If there are optional prayer to his credit, He will say: Compensate the obligatory prayer by the optional prayer for My servant. Then all the actions will be considered similarly. [Sunan Abi Dawud 864]

The quality of your prayer reflects the quality of your relationship with Allah, so please develop a beautiful relationship with Allah, this is the supreme success.

Reward for praying Salah

and those who are ˹properly˺ observant of their prayers. These are the ones who will be awarded Paradise as their own. They will be there forever. [Quran 23 : 9 - 11]

Everyday we meet ALLAH in SALAH one day we will meet Allah in Jannah. In shaa Allah.

The believers have succeeded: those who are humbly focused in their prayer; who turn away from meaningless activities; who give Zakat; [Quran 23 : 1 - 4]

Never leave your Salah for anything, that is your key to Jannah.

Punishment for not praying Salah

The people of hell will be asked.

“What made you enter into hell?” They say: “We were not the performers of mandatory prayers. [Quran 74 : 42 - 43]

No excuse for Salah, No work is more important than prayers. Prayers should be our first priority in our life and there shouldn't be any excuses for not doing Salah.

Khushu [Sincerity in Worship]

Achieving khushu’ (concentration and humility) in our worship.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) entered the mosque and a person followed him. The man prayed and went to the Prophet and greeted him. The Prophet (ﷺ) returned the greeting and said to him, "Go back and pray, for you have not prayed." The man went back prayed in the same way as before, returned and greeted the Prophet who said, "Go back and pray, for you have not prayed." This happened thrice. The man said, "By Him Who sent you with the Truth, I cannot offer the prayer in a better way than this. Please, teach me how to pray." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When you stand for Prayer say Takbir and then recite from the Holy Qur'an (of what you know by heart) and then bow till you feel at ease. Then raise your head and stand up straight, then prostrate till you feel at ease during your prostration, then sit with calmness till you feel at ease (do not hurry) and do the same in all your prayers. [Sahih al-Bukhari 757]

O Allah remove the spirit of laziness from my prayers.

If you find prayer burdensome, consider that your faith may be weak. And if you find peace in prayer, consider that your faith may be complete.

O my Lord! Make me one who establishes prayers perfectly... [Quran 14 : 40]

Indeed successful are those believers. who are humble in their Salah (prayers), who avoid vain talk, (Quran 23 : 1 - 3)

It was narrated from Umm Salamah that when the Prophet (ﷺ) performed the Subh (morning prayer), while he said the Salam, he would say: ‘Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision and acceptable deeds).’” [Sunan Ibn Majah 925]

Neglectful in Prayer

Neglectful in prayer?. This mistake will get your prayer rejected.

Allah SWT said in the Quran : So woe to the worshipper Who are neglectful of their prayers. [Quran 107 : 4 - 5]

Indeed, the hypocrites [think to] deceive Allah , but He is deceiving them. And when they stand for prayer, they stand lazily, showing [themselves to] the people and not remembering Allah except a little, (Quran 4:142)

Give such hypocrites the news that a painful punishment awaits them. [Quran 4:138]

A good servant of Allah Kaleemulla said: Six matters that are linked to the prayer have been indicated as marks of weak faith.

1. Delaying the prayer.

2. Laziness when one stands up to pray.

3. Praying in an extremely hasty manner.

4. Barely remembering Allah during the prayer.

5. Intending to show off .

6. Abandoning the congregational prayer.

Worst Thief

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from an-Numan ibn Murra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,"What about drunkenness, stealing and adultery? "That was before anything had been revealed about them. They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "They are excesses and in them is a punishment. And the worst of thieves is the one who steals his prayer." They said, "How does he steal his prayer, Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "He does not do ruku or sajda properly." [Book 9, Hadith 75]

O Allah, grant us the ability to pray in an extremely well-mannered way. Ameen summa Ameen.

Importance of Salah

A successful day starts with Fajr and Quran. The beauty of Fajr is knowing that Allah chooses you to be amongst those who worship Him, whilst the rest of the world is sleeping.

'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The two Rak'ah before the dawn (Fajr) prayer are better than this world and all it contains."

[Muslim]

Another narration goes: "The two Rak'ah before the dawn (Fajr) prayer are dearer to me than the whole world." [Riyad as-Salihin 1102]

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If the people knew the reward for pronouncing the Adhan and for standing in the first row (in congregational prayers) and found no other way to get that except by drawing lots they would draw lots, and if they knew the reward of the Zuhr prayer (in the early moments of its stated time) they would race for it (go early) and if they knew the reward of `Isha' and Fajr (morning) prayers in congregation, they would come to offer them even if they had to crawl." [Sahih al-Bukhari 615]

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The prayer offered in congregation is twenty five times more superior (in reward) to the prayer offered alone in one's house or in a business center, because if one performs ablution and does it perfectly, and then proceeds to the mosque with the sole intention of praying, then for each step which he takes towards the mosque, Allah upgrades him a degree in reward and (forgives) crosses out one sin till he enters the mosque. When he enters the mosque he is considered in prayer as long as he is waiting for the prayer and the angels keep on asking for Allah's forgiveness for him and they keep on saying: 'O Allah! Be Merciful to him, O Allah! Forgive him, as long as he keeps on sitting at his praying place and does not pass wind. (See Hadith No. 620). [Sahih al-Bukhari 477]

Umm Farwah - and she was one of those who gave pledge of allegiance to the Prophet - narrated: "The Prophet was asked: 'Which deed is the best?' So he said: 'Salat in the beginning of its time.'" [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 170]

Stern warning against missing Jumu'ah

It was narrated from Abu Al-Ja'd Ad-Damri-who was a Companion of the Prophet (ﷺ)- that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever missed three jumu'ahs out of negligence, Allah will place a seal over his heart." [Sunan an-Nasa'i 1369]

Loss of missing a single salah

Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever misses the `Asr prayer (intentionally) then it is as if he lost his family and property." [Sahih al-Bukhari 552]

Those who do not pray the Asr prayer should read this hadith, missing even one prayer means losing everything.

I want my Imaan to be so high that missing Salah becomes my biggest stress.

How to pray Salah

Someone says pray salah like this way, someone says pray salah like that way, O Allah, I'm completely confused. O Allah, please show me the proper way to perform salah.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said..."Pray as you have seen me praying and when it is the time for the prayer one of you should pronounce the Adhan and the oldest of you should lead the prayer. [Sahih al-Bukhari 631]

Do not divide the way of praying into different sects, rather pray as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to pray. Every sect has found its own ease, but when something is proven by the Quran and Hadith, it is necessary to leave aside these sects/leaders and adhere only to the words of the Quran and Hadith.

O you who believe, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. Then, if you quarrel about something, revert it back to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is good, and the best at the end. (Qur’an 4:59)

That is, "Take the Qur'an and the Sunnah as the final authority in your disputes."

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "All my followers will enter Paradise except those who refuse." They said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Who will refuse?" He said, "Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it)." [Sahih al-Bukhari 7280]

Jo iman hamein namaz ke liye masjid tak na le jasake wa hamein kya jannat ko le jayega.

The faith that cannot take us to the mosque for prayer will it take us to heaven?
