What is Imaan [Faith]?

There are six pillars of Islamic faith in which every person must believe to become Muslim; not believing in even one of these pillars places that person outside the fold of Islam."

..."It is that you believe in Allah and His angels and His Books and His Messengers and in the Last Day, and in fate (qadar), both in its good and in its evil aspects."... [Hadith 2, 40 Hadith an-Nawawi]

6] Believe in Fate on its good and bad from Allah.

Ya Allah, strengthen my faith and make me a true Muslim.

Benefits Having Faith

All people, believer and non-Believer, are face difficult situations every day with different kinds of difficulties. What distinguishes a believer from a non-believer in the face of difficulties is the Faith, that Allah has put in our hearts which makes us patient and more optimist person when we go through any difficulty.

This “FAITH” is great wealth not granted to unbelievers. It is by means of this faith that muslims are able to face of all problems of life, it is a important tool to overcoming life problems.

Our ability to handle life's challenges is a measure of our strength of faith.

Remember! If your faith does not help you to overcome stress and depression, so you understand that you are a Muslim by name only. I am only a Muslim by name, thats why I depressed. So you need to reconsider the quality of faith.

Yaad rakho aur kabhi mat bholo, jis ka faith tauheed [asma wa sifat] per, qayamat ke din per and fate per jamjaye usko badi se badi musibat bhi pareshan nahi karti.

Be thankful to Allah SWT by saying Alhamdulillah, He guided you to Islam. Benefits having faith in Tauheed Al Asma Wa-Sifaat.

Those whose faith in Tawheed al-Asma wa-Sifaat (the Oneness of Allah’s Names and Attributes) is complete, Allah SWT makes their lives easier. These people are not scared of anyone nor they keep any hope from other people. Their fear and hope are solely with Allah. These people are successful in both this world and the Hereafter.

Drawback for not having faith in Tauheed Al Asma Wa-Sifaat.

And those whose faith in Tawheed al-Asma wa-Sifaat (the Oneness of Allah’s Names and Attributes) is weak, their lives remain narrow and restless. These people fear every little thing in life and their hopes are always connected with the people and false gods. These kinds of people not only fail in this world they fail in akhirah as well.

Be thankful to Allah SWT by saying Alhamdulillah, He guided you to Islam. Benefits having True faith on Day of Judgment.

Faith on the Day of Judgment helps us to overcome bad characters and negative feelings, and helps us to do good deeds.

Three Benefits of believing in the Day of Judgment:

1] It is easier to perform righteous deeds.

Because these people live their lives with the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter in mind, they find it easy to perform prayers, fasts, Hajj, Zakat, and other righteous deeds. For them, doing good deeds is not difficult; rather, they find it easy to engage in these acts of worship.

2] Their manners are good.

Those who have a firm belief in the Day of Judgment have good manners. They never deceive anyone, commit injustice or oppression, lie, or engage in insults or backbiting. Because they fear that if they deceive someone, commit injustice or oppression, insult or backbite others, they will certainly face severe accountability on the Day of Judgment and suffer a terrible end.

Therefore, such individuals do not have wrong thoughts or engage in wrongful actions. Allah SWT grants tranquility to their hearts, and they lead a peaceful and content life.

3] They do not harbor negative feelings.

They do not harbor negative feelings. For example, if someone wrongs them, engages in backbiting about them, falsely accuses them, or infringes on their rights in any way, they do not burn with the fire of revenge. Rather, they leave all their matters to be settled on the Day of Judgment and live in peace. They believe that on that day, when everyone will be concerned only with themselves, the accusations, backbiting, and oppression against them will be of great benefit to them.

This hadith extinguishes the fire of revenge in the heart of the oppressed and brings great tranquility to their hearts.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever has oppressed another person concerning his reputation or anything else, he should beg him to forgive him before the Day of Resurrection when there will be no money (to compensate for wrong deeds), but if he has good deeds, those good deeds will be taken from him according to his oppression which he has done, and if he has no good deeds, the sins of the oppressed person will be loaded on him." [Sahih al-Bukhari 2449]

If a man insults you with what he knows about you, do not insult him by what you know about him. Verily, you will have a reward and the penalty is upon the one who said it.”

This is the reason, why I keep silent when abuses are hurled at me. Alhamdulillah, this above hadith helps me to be patience when someone hurts me.

Drawback for not having faith on Day of Judgment.

Three disadvantages of having weak faith on the day of judgment:

1] It becomes difficult to perform good deeds.

Those whose faith in the Day of Judgment is weak are superficial; they prefer and live for the visible aspects of this world. They find it difficult to engage in righteous deeds such as prayers, fasting, Hajj, and Zakat. Such individuals are misguided.

2] They have bad character traits among them.

Those whose faith in the Day of Judgment is weak often exhibit poor character. They deceive others, lie, engage in backbiting, and, if given the chance, commit injustice and oppression. Because they lack fear and conviction regarding the Hereafter, they indulge in every wrongful act that pleases their desires. For them, there is ruin in the Hereafter.

3]They harbor negative feelings.

They have a lot of negative feelings, such as, If someone criticizes them or falsely accuses them, they immediately become enraged and burn in the fire of revenge..These people never find peace; they always remain disturbed and restless. Because they are muslims just for the name sake. Benefits having True faith

Be thankful to Allah SWT by saying Alhamdulillah, He guided you to Islam. Benefits having True faith on fate.

Faith on Fate helps us to overcome stress and depression. The only way to stop the pain in our life is to accept the fact that nothing happens without the permission of Allah. Accepting that everything goes as He (Allah) has planned, this will give you peace of mind. On that day, all your worries will end, the day your faith in fate will be completely fixed.

Drawback for not having True faith on fate.

Lack of faith in fate leads us to depression. We spend hopeless days and sleepless nights, feeling sad about our problems, but we forget that Allah is the controller of all affairs.

For those who reject faith and disbelieve, I will punish them with terrible pain in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will not have anyone to help. (Quran 3:56)

Hereafter drawback :

Abu Hurairah said: "Idolaters from the Quraish came to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) quarreling about Al-Qadar. So this Ayah was revealed: "The day they will be dragged on their faces into the Fire (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell." Verily we have created all things with Qadar. [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2157]

Keep in mind what the Hadith says, if you do not believe in fate, you will burn in hell.

Those who have firm faith in fate will definitely live a happy and enjoyable life in this world and also have great success in the hereafter. And for those whose faith is weak, they will definitely have a painful life in this world and face severe punishment in the Hereafter.

When death approaches any of them, they cry, “My Lord! Let me go back, so I may do good in what I left behind.” Never! It is only a ˹useless˺ appeal they make. And there is a barrier behind them until the Day they are resurrected. [Quran 23:99-100]
