Satan can inject doubts in our hearts and minds; do not feel helpless. Trust in Allah, stay patient in hard times, and revive your faith.
Satan does not attack false Muslims; he targets those who are strong in their faith. The closer
you are to Allah, the more intense his attacks will be. At such times, you stay strong in your faith.
If we get whispers [waswase] against Allah SWT, His Messenger (PBUH), Islam, and faith enter one's heart and mind, will we be considered sinners?
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that some people from amongst the Companions of the Apostle (ﷺ) came to him and said:
Verily we perceive in our minds that which every one of us considers it too grave to express. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Do you really perceive it? They said: Yes. Upon this he remarked: That is the faith manifest.
[Sahih Muslim 132a]
Abu Hurairah said; His companion came to him and said; Messenger of Allah! We have thoughts which we cannot dare talk about and we do not like that we have them or talk about them. He said:
Have you experienced that? They replied: yes. He said : that is clear faith.
[Sunan Abi Dawud 5111]
Arrival of a whisper from satan and from your side disliking and rejecting the whispers and hating them is a sign of faith.
If you have a weaker Iman [faith],
you would accept these whispers. It is because there is faith in the heart that one dislikes and
views these whispers as evil.
Satan is always whispering, but refusing to believe this is a perfect evidence of having faith.
...There is no sin on you if you make a mistake in it, except what your hearts deliberately intend. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
[Quran 33:5]
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has forgiven my Ummah for what is whispered to them or what enters their minds, so long as they do not act upon it or speak of it.'"
[Sunan an-Nasa'i 3434]
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said:
"Allah, the Most High, has forgiven my Ummah for whatever enters the mind, so long as it is not spoken of or put into action."
[Sunan an-Nasa'i 3435]
Allah forgives this ummah for what they enter whispers their mind unless they utter it or do it.
Thank you Allah, I felt very ashamed and guilty for having such nasty thoughts about Allah, Islam, and faith etc. I've been fighting it for a long time. But now I have the answer. O Allah, thanks for this.
If you experience Satanic whispers against Allah, His Messenger (PBUH), Islam, or faith in your
heart and mind, simply ignore them. Affirm with your heart and tongue, 'Whether I understand it
or not, but indeed I have faith in Allah and His Messenger.' By doing so, your faith will remain secure, In shaa Allah.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
Men will continue to question one another till this is propounded: Allah created all things but who created Allah? He who found himself confronted with such a situation should say: I affirm my faith in Allah.
[Sahih Muslim 134a]
He also reported God’s messenger as saying, “People will continue to ask one another questions till someone says this, ‘God created all things, but who created God?’ Whoever comes across anything of that nature should say, ‘I believe in God and in His messengers.’ ”
(Bukhari and Muslim.)
[Mishkat al-Masabih 66]
No matter how many whispers enter my mind,
by the grace of Allah SWT,
I always put my faith in Allah and His Messenger.
Read Dua when evil thoughts come to mind.
The person who is experiencing such whispers should say,
'Amantu billahi wa rasulihi [I believe in Allah, the Almighty, and His Messenger, peace be upon him]
Allah SWT said in the Quran :
If an evil whisper from Satan comes to you (O Muhammad), seek refuge in Allah. Surely, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. [Quran 41:36]
Say, .I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind
the King of mankind
the God of mankind
from the evil of the whisperer who withdraws (when Allah‘s name is pronounced)
the one who whispers in the hearts of people
whether from among the Jinn or Mankind.
[Quran 114 : 1 - 6]
O Allah, protect us from the whispers of shaitan and
O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in the matter (of religion) and I ask You for determination upon guidance, and I ask You to make me grateful for Your favor, and for excellence in worshipping You, and I ask You for a truthful tongue and a sound heart, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You know, and I.
Ameen Ya Rabbul Alameen.
Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate from the right path after You have given us guidance, and bestow upon us mercy from Your own. Surely, You, and You alone, are the One who bestows in abundance.
[Quran 3 :8]
'Anas narrated:
"The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) would often say: Ya Muqallibal-qulub, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik('O Changer of the Hearts! Strengthen my heart upon Your Religion.)..."
[Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2140]
If you are a victim of whispers, don't be worried; Allah knows the secrets of your heart.
We have created man and know what his soul is whispering within him. We are Closer to him than his jugular vein! (Quran 50:16)
...He knows what is within the heart.
[Quran 67:13]
...He certainly knows best what is ˹hidden˺ in the heart. [Quran 39 : 7]
Say: .Whether you conceal what is in your hearts or reveal it, Allah will know it... (Quran 3:29)
...Allah knows (all) that is in your hearts... (Quran 33:51)
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man came to the Prophet (PBUH) and said, “I think thoughts to myself, which I would rather be burnt to a cinder than speak of them.” The Prophet (PBUH) said, “Praise be to Allah, Who has reduced all his [the Shaytan’s] plots to mere whispers.” (Abu Dawood).

Shaytan said:“By Your Glory O Lord, I will misguide Your slaves as long as their souls are in their bodies.” So Allah said:“By My Glory & Majesty, I will continue to forgive them as long as they ask My Forgiveness!” [Musnad Ahmad 27.627]
